STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Damage to property is not included in our weekly charge for a guest to be on placement at the Crisis Centre. On occasions we have carried the cost when we have felt that the guest was not responsible for the damage, we believe guests should be responsible for damage and that is part of our treatment approach. The Crisis Centre is a specialised facility and the weekly charge covers the high standard and quality of service we offer. Three psychotherapists live in at the centre and they are assisted by a resource group of psychotherapists, a consultant psychiatrist, a consultant nurse, a clinical assistant and other professionals. In addition, our nine strong team leader group operates an on-call rota covering the Centre on a 24 hour basis. A nurse specialist is also on -call at all times. The resident therapists have a responsibility to individual guest's and the group. We have an equal opportunities policy which protects the rights of all users of the Crisis Centre. The Crisis Centre is a space for a guest to use to explore their emotional crisis while respecting the need of the house group and the Centre.
We understand that it may be difficult to agree to pay for excessive damage to our property in respect of your client and would like to take this opportunity to stress that it is on rare occasions where our guest's have found it necessary to resort to damaging our property. We therefore suggest that a ceiling rate is set in respect of possible damage.

We, the undersigned agree to the rate of £350.00 to be set as a maximum rate payable by
