25th Anniversary ConferenceWednesday 23 June,1999 - The Royal Society of Medicine The 25th anniversary was a very important occasion in the life of the Centre, which was founded by Joseph Berke and others in the spring of 1973. This conference celebrated these first 25 years of the Arbours Crisis Centre with the presentation of 3 papers, introduced by the Centre's founder, Joseph Berke. Margaret Fagin, who joined the Centre as a team leader two years ago after having trained as a therapist with the Arbours Association, presented "Small is Beautiful". Cath Sunderland, a resident therapist at the Centre, then described her own experiences with the second paper, "Containing Anxiety at the Crisis Centre". Finally, Lois Elliot concluded with "The Relationship Place", the second half of which is reproduced here. The Presentations:
