Consultation and Advice for Professionals

The Arbours Crisis Centre is a proven pioneering facility internationally known and respected for its work with those in crisis and with borderline and psychotic patients in particular. The Centre now offers consultations and advice to professionals working with individuals in these states of mind. Through its Consultation and Advice Service for Professionals the Centre, utilising years of experience and expertise from working with considerably disturbed and disturbing patients, now helps other professionals in this area of work.

Who is it for?

This Service is for professionals in the mental health field working with borderline and psychotic patients, or people in crisis. You might be seeing these patients in your private practice, you might be working in a therapeutic community, a supportive hostel, a psychiatric unit or in the community. You might feel isolated or overwhelmed by what is happening with a particular patient and in need of a thinking space with a senior colleague, or you may feel the need to think about your feelings about your work or career.

The Crisis Centre team

This service is provided by a team of psychoanalytic and art therapists who are highly experienced in working with disturbed and disturbing individuals and families. Their areas of expertise include: Crisis intervention; Psychosis; Borderline Personality Disorders; Adolescence; Eating Disorders; Violence to self and others; Organisational dynamics.

Costs

Individuals: £100.00 per consultation. Sliding scale applies.

Groups: £150.00 per consultation.

Visits to organisations: £250.00.

Membership of ongoing supervision group. £20.00
